Sacred Sites
The Heal District / The Hill District, Pittsburgh PA

As I began to discover Pittsburgh after moving there in September of 2012, I noticed street corners, sidewalks and trees decorated with candles, flowers, teddy bears, cardboard signs, balloons and prayers. I realized that these are altars in remembrance of victims of domestic violence. I felt the need to bring something, in some way, to these sacred sites. In April of 2013, accompanied by Ezra and Aga, I began through silent eurythmy gestures to respond to those who had died, and to how the air and the ground moved me.
